One thing I was interested in is what could you expect to earn doing a medical transcription job? Well the research I’ve done shows that salaries vary greatly but all seem to fall between $30 000 and $40 000 per annum.
Now the figures for medical transcription jobs stated above are all related to working out of the home, being in a hospital, doctors rooms etc. Strangely enough the highest in this area seems to be for medical transcriptionists working for medical laboratories.
That said what about medical transcription jobs from home? How much can you expect to earn then? Well the figures I’m hearing are between $25 and $35 per hour, which seems to be a bit higher then working for someone else. Of course you don’t have the luxury of a set income each month, but at the same time there is no ceiling on the amount you can earn if you work harder!
